Help where you want it. Software you can run without it.

Apelora Fabric is free, open source software. Services add people and time: we deploy it with you, connect it to your systems, train your team and support it. Every service is quoted for your environment.

Deployment

We install Apelora Fabric on your servers, prove that it works there and hand it over.

  1. Review

Servers, network, storage, identity provider and how you operate today.

  2. Install

Control plane, worker and Console, connected to your identity provider and secured with TLS; servers joined with single-use tokens.

  3. Validate

Preflight on every server, test deployments, and a failure test you can watch.

  4. Hand over

Roles, backups, alerts and runbooks configured and explained; the audit log on from the first change.

You receive

  • A working cluster with Apelora Fabric installed and connected to your identity provider
  • A written record of what was installed and how it was validated
  • Runbooks adapted to your environment, and a handover session

Outside the standard scope

  • Buying or racking hardware
  • Installing operating systems on servers
  • Migrating existing applications

We can quote these as custom services.

Integration

Connect Apelora Fabric to what you already run.

  • Identity

OpenID Connect providers and LDAP directories, with roles mapped to your groups.

  • Monitoring

The metrics endpoint and signed alert webhooks into your own monitoring and paging.

  • Provisioning

Discovery of servers from MAAS, if you use it.

  • Image mirrors

Mirrors and signed bundles for sites without internet access.

  • Custom modules

Your own module definitions, ports and defaults in the catalog.

  • Larger deployments

More servers, more sites, and the questions that come with them.

Training

For the people who will design with Fabric and the people who will keep it running. Format and length are agreed in the quote.

  • For designers

Studio: modules, ports and connections, plans, deploying and changing an application.

  • For operators

Fabric Console: servers, maintenance, health, alerts, backups and restore, roles and the audit log.

  • For incidents

The runbooks, walked through on your own cluster: a server fails, quorum is lost, a certificate expires.

Support

A subscription with defined coverage. Proposed scope below; the final terms, hours, channels and response times are written in each quote.

Covered

  • Questions about installing, configuring and operating Apelora Fabric
  • Diagnosing problems from your logs, the support bundle and the audit log
  • Guidance for upgrades of Apelora Fabric and of the Incus release it is pinned to
  • Fixes for confirmed defects in Apelora Fabric, delivered in releases
  • Help with failed servers, using the runbooks

Not covered

  • The code and images of your own applications
  • Hardware, network and storage faults outside Apelora Fabric
  • Incus, OVN, PostgreSQL and other upstream software beyond how Fabric configures them; defects there are reported upstream
  • Features that are on the roadmap but not built

Apelora Fabric is in early development. We will discuss your use of it, and what it is ready for, before recommending a subscription.

Tell us about your environment

How many servers, what storage and network, who needs access. We will tell you what Apelora does for that today and what it does not.
